Vendor Thank-You Gifts: A Guide for Real Estate Agents

A vendor thank-you gift marks a different moment from a buyer's settlement gift. Your buyers are starting something new, while your vendors are finishing something: a sale they trusted you with, and often a home they lived in for years. This guide covers how to choose a vendor gift that suits the sale, when to send it, how to brand it without overdoing it and how to order for several sales at once.

Why a vendor gift is different from a buyer gift

Buyer gifts usually lean towards the new home: kitchen pieces, a bottle for the first night in, something for the table. A vendor may be moving interstate, downsizing, moving in with family or buying again through you, so a gift built around a new kitchen is not always the right fit. A vendor gift works best when it thanks them for the result and the trust, and suits wherever they are heading next.

If you are choosing for buyers as well, our real estate settlement hampers group gifts by recipient, including first home buyers, entertainers and sellers.

Choosing a vendor gift by situation

Read each product's listed contents before you choose. Some starting points from our real estate range:

  • Celebrating a strong result: the Cin Cin Hamper includes Zonzo Estate prosecco and a pair of crystal champagne glasses, with a wooden board and gold knife set, so the vendor can celebrate the sale.
  • Vendors who like to entertain: A Marble Moment, The Modern Host and Wine n Dine pair Zonzo Estate Pinot Noir with serving pieces they can take to the next home.
  • Vendors who would rather not receive alcohol: Practicality (dish washing liquid, a tea towel and cheese knives) and Chef's Delight (salt and pepper mills, cheese knives and a chopping board) have no alcohol in their listed contents.
  • Long-standing clients and repeat vendors: Contemporary Essentials and Chic Living add homewares such as a linen table runner, and Chic Living's candle can carry wording or your logo.

Every product page shows its current price, so you can set a budget per sale and keep it consistent across your listings. To thank the brokers and other referral partners who send vendors your way, browse our thank you hampers.

When to send a vendor thank-you gift

A natural time for the vendor gift is around settlement, when the sale is complete. Before you order, check two things with your vendor: where they will be living on the day the gift arrives, and whether anyone will be there to receive it. Vendors may have moved out before settlement, so the sold property is not always the right address.

If the gift needs to arrive on a particular date, email our team before ordering so we can arrange it. We ship Australia wide, which helps when a vendor is moving interstate.

Branding a vendor gift without overdoing it

A vendor gift is a thank-you first and a reminder of your agency second. A small, tidy touch of branding usually does more than a logo on every item. Your options include:

  • Branded gift boxes finished with a gloss label, with no minimum order, so you can brand a single vendor gift. Many of our hampers come branded or unbranded, in black or white.
  • Engraved wooden boards in Camphor Laurel, a keepsake the vendor will use for years. Branded chopping boards in Chef's Delight need a minimum order of 5.
  • Branded candles hand-poured by our team, with no minimum order.
  • Branded ribbon, which has minimum order requirements and a $121 (incl GST) setup fee invoiced at the artwork finalisation stage.
  • Branded gift cards printed in packs of 200, with a turnaround of approximately two weeks from design approval.

See all of our branding options for agents. If you present contracts or settlement paperwork in person, branded A4 document boxes keep it together and can go alongside the gift.

Ordering vendor gifts for several sales

If you are thanking one vendor, order online and send the gift straight to them: online orders go to one delivery address each. If several sales settle around the same time, or your office sends vendor gifts in batches, email us your chosen hampers and we will send you a spreadsheet to complete with each recipient's delivery details. Our how to order page explains both options.

Agencies that gift regularly can save time by choosing one or two standard vendor gifts and a standard branding approach, then reordering as each sale settles. For a template you can reuse, see how to brief a corporate gifting supplier.

Vendor gift checklist

Have these details ready when you order or contact us:

  • The vendor's name and the address where they will be on delivery day
  • The date the gift needs to arrive, if it matters
  • The hamper you have chosen, or your budget per sale
  • Any alcohol or dietary preferences you know about
  • Branded or unbranded, box colour, and your logo in a vector file if branding
  • Your card message to the vendor
  • The number of vendors, if you are ordering for several sales

When you are ready, browse our real estate gifts or contact our team with your list and dates.
